The German beer drinking festival, OktoberFest, is hitting Winchester’s Guild Hall this weekend, 15 September.
Kicking off at 8pm at the grand Winchester Guild Hall the Bavarian knees up returns. You’ll need a sturdy wrist and a strong arm for this event with a stein holding 2 pints and plenty of delicious Bratwurst hotdogs to be eaten.
The original Oktoberfest is held annually in Bavaria, Germany, and is up to an 18-day folk festival with more than six million people from around the world attending the event every year. Winchester’s Oktoberfest is now in its third year continually supporting the lively nightlife of Winchester
Winchester’s Oktoberfest doesn’t happen quietly, the traditional german bands ‘Oompah Brass’ deliver foot stomping, stein slamming live music to get you dancing in your laderhosen.
